The Sun in Aries is the pure energy of initiation and self-assertion. People born with this placement often know what they want immediately and dislike waiting. Momentum isn't a strategy here, it's the default state – courage isn't a virtue, it's the operating mode. Patience, however, is learned, not given.
- initiative
- courage
- impatience
The Sun in Aries sits in the sign of the spring equinox, where light first breaks through winter's dark. This placement is about direct will: there's almost no distance between intention and action. Those born with it often feel the shortest route is the best – and anything slow is frustrating. The shadow isn't anger but impatience: an Aries Sun tends to act first and ask later, experiencing its own momentum as others' resistance. The work isn't to extinguish the fire, but to recognize that courage is most useful when it doesn't leave scorched earth behind. Growing up here means keeping the initiative while learning to wait for others.
