What does Death mean upright?
An ending that clears the ground for something new. This card almost never means literal death — it means a chapter closing so that the next one can open. Let go of what has already finished, however much it cost you. Death is the deepest transformation the deck offers, and nothing grows until it has passed.
What does Death mean reversed?
Clinging to what is already over, or fearing a change that has in fact already happened. The resistance is costing more than the ending would. Name what has ended and grieve it properly. What you refuse to release, you carry.
