King of Swords is a Minor Arcana · Swords card of the tarot deck. Its keywords are: Authority, Truth, Logic, Judgement. Read below what it says upright and reversed.
- Authority
- Truth
- Logic
- Judgement
What does King of Swords mean upright?
Intellectual authority, sound judgement and truth spoken clearly. You can hold the whole picture and reason your way through it fairly. Decide on principle and stand behind it. The King of Swords rules by clarity rather than by force.
What does King of Swords mean reversed?
Cold judgement, abuse of authority or logic used to avoid feeling. Being right has become more important than being fair. Let the human factor back into the reasoning. Reason without compassion arrives at the wrong answer confidently.
