What does Ten of Swords mean upright?
A definitive ending, painful and complete. Something has finished in the hardest possible way and there is no salvaging it. The one mercy is that it can get no worse — the bottom is also a floor. The Ten of Swords is the last night before the dawn behind it.
What does Ten of Swords mean reversed?
Recovery beginning, or an ending dragged out past its conclusion. The worst is behind you even if it does not yet feel that way. Stand up slowly and start again. Surviving this is itself the evidence that you can.
